Very Rare Fenton LG Wright Corn Maize GWTW Style Lamp Picture(s) and Description:
This auction is for a very rare hard to find Fenton for LG Wright Maize pattern GWTW style lamp in a honey amber satin overlay finish. This is a vintage lamp circa 1950 - 1960's era and in as found condition. It does need to be cleaned as I have only given the top shade a light wash and wiped the rest down with a cloth. Other than dirt the condition looks to be excellent no chips, cracks, or other problems. The pattern is kernels of corn with long stalks in golden amber over solid white glass. This is cased glass two distinct layers as shown in pic 7 and can also be seen in the ruffled top rim of the upper shade. There is minor scuffing noted to the white glass along the interior of the fitter end of the top shade. This does not show on display and does not affect the beauty of the lamp in any way. It measures about 10" high to the shade holder and 18" high to the top of the upper shade. The upper shade measures 8 1/2" high, 4" across the fitter end, and has a 3 1/4" top opening. There was once an inner chimney for this lamp but I do not have that piece. They are the easiest to replace and can usually be found locally. The lamp features the three way lightning top, bottom, or both at the same time. The shade holder unscrews from the glass bottom to access the night light. The shade holder part is threaded and sits securely not loose or wobbly. The cord is in very good condition so it should not need to be replaced. I leave that up to any potential buyer as the lamp is in great working condition. The only markings are on the underside of the metal base as shown. This is really a great old lamp and one very seldom seen. I am starting the auction off low but I do reserve the right to end the auction early due to lack of interest and/or bids. It is heavy for its size weighing in at nearly 8 lbs pre-packaging. I am setting a flat shipping rate of 20.00 dollars to the lower 48 states only.
