All of the serious Carnival Glass internet sites will attest to the "hard to find" status. The prices that I've been able to find, range from: (Marigold - $500.00) (Blue - $1000.00 - $3950.00)(Green - only 1 known example no price) It is very uncommon, and unlikely that you will find a Star Flower Water Pitcher available on this site.None are found in current or completed item searches. This piece displays beautifully, and is worth owning. It belongs in the collection of someone that values an example of this rare pattern. I traveled several hours to purchase this particular piece at an Estate Auction. My initial inspection detected no flaws. A few days after it's purchase, I was admiring the piece and held it to the Sun to inspect it further,and discovered that the piece had a few, fine internal hairline cracks towards the lower half and base. As you can see in the pictures none of the aforementioned flaws detract from it's display.Nor do they compromise it's structural well being. In fact you will require a very strong light source to detect any damage,Normal and Average everyday lighting, viewing with your naked eyes, will reveal nothing. So there you have it. It's a shame. But instead of dismissing it.You might consider that It may be a very long time before you see another available in any condition.And the price could be exorbitant.
