Wright Amethyst and Opalescent glass Eye Dot Oil Lamp 1940s. A wonderful Oil Lamp made by Fenton for L.G. Wright in the Eye Dot pattern. The shape of the lamp is very scarce for Fenton and the color very Rare indeed, very few of these were made. White glass base and gorgeous square section font in amethyst glass with opalescent Eye Dot patterns in vertical rows over a pillow ribbed design connected together with a ribbed brass collar. It is in the LG Wright book and Shown in the Fenton Special Orders 1940-1980, 2003 Edition, By Fenton for L.G. Wright, Eye Dot Oil Lamp with Milk Glass Base and Square Font 20".  Page 134. Appears to be the original burner, no wick fitted. Height to the top of the font9 ½ inches, overall height including chimney 19 ½ inches. Font 4 ½ inches square.
